Fogerty To Play Birthday Show In Los Angeles

Iconic rocker John Fogerty is gearing up for the release of a new album called Wrote A Song For Everyone on May 28. Not only is the 28th the date of the album's release, but it also happens to be Fogerty's birthday. To celebrate both occasions, he'll play a rare live performance at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles.

Tickets will be available starting today through a special presale for members of Fogerty's fanclub via For those who can't attend what's sure to be a star-studded show, AXS TV will broadcast the event live starting at 8:30 p.m. PT on the 28th. Wrote A Song For Everyone features Fogerty teaming up with the likes of Dawes, the Foo Fighters, My Morning Jacket and Bob Seger to record both classics and deep cuts from his time with Creedence Clearwater Revival and the solo career that followed the breakup of that band.

As we reported yesterday, Fogerty will appear on Letterman with Dawes in support of the album on May 21.
