CPB has been funking around on the fringe of the St. Louis music scene since 1995. During this time the band has labored exhaustively developing their distinctive "progressive funk" sound, a diverse brew encompassing funk, jazz, progressive rock, soul, blues, country & western music, psychedelic adult contemporary, and a heavy dose of improvisation. Utilizing a robust lineup featuring 2 guitars (each both lead & rhythm), slap bass, drums, and a horn section, this youthful sextet has spawned a solid body of over 40 original songs and a distinct sound that has no counterpart, locally or otherwise. With their fanbase in the St. Louis area steadily growing, CPB is now ready to take on the Midwest tour circuit and get their funky vision realized on a national level.
Synergy is a new and exciting addition to the St. Louis "jamband" scene. Entirely instrumental, this four-piece improvisational group breaks out of the Midwest mold by blending psychedelic rock and funk with elements of trance, jungle, house, and other styles found in electronica. The result is a melodic, danceable, jam-heavy party, and a sound you won’t hear from anyone else in St. Louis.
Sean the Super Funky Chicken is a one-man poultry extravaganza that you must see to believe.
Since 1999 CPB has been producing "Jamboree" concerts that have sent the St. Louis underground a-buzzing. More fun than rock concerts and friendlier than raves, the Jamborees are independent music festivals that offer a unique, exciting, and progressive alternative to the standard of St. Louis entertainment. THE ROCKIN’ J JAMBOREE will be our 10th Jamboree production in just 2 years, a series of events that has included St. Louis festivals in several exciting venues and a successful weekend campout featuring 9 bands. Throughout this adventure we have had the immense pleasure of watching our scene grow, and watching the demands on our production team rise exponentially. With this in mind, we have re-christened and re-focused the production services of our group under the banner of FRIENDLY ENTERTAINMENT: The Happiest Production Company on Earth. With this positive attitude, we are committed to continuing our independent focus on producing memorable, engaging events that go beyond the boundaries of conventional concert experiences.
