Moonalice’s music is an eclectic brew of rock, roots, and rhythm-and-blues, peppered with a healthy dose of improvisation and played with some serious chops.
While the band has only started touring this year, they’ve already made many well-received festival appearances including a sun-drenched set at San Francisco’s colossal and high profile Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival in Golden Gate Park just over a week ago. Other recent outings included Wavy Gravy’s Summer of Love Revival, The Grateful Garcia Gathering, and the Sausalito Arts Festival. The band also played a benefit show with Hot Tuna for David Smith, who founded the Height Asbury Free Clinic.
Moonalice is heading out this week for a run of twelve shows and is looking forward to more musical adventures and festival appearances next year. The band’s fall dates start Thursday, October 18 at GoodFoot Lounge in Portland, OR and wrap up on November 4 at Rams Head Tavern in Annapolis, MD. The run will also include a festival appearance at Nelson Ledges Quarry Park in Garrettsville, OH on October 27 with other bands such as Particle, Ekoostik Hookah, and Great American Taxi. Don’t miss this great new band on tour this fall!
