After finally seeing these guys live (I've had their CD for months), I feel compelled to send in a quick review of what I witnessed in hopes of getting more people hooked on the Greyhounds. First of all, I was a bit disturbed to see a crowd of 10 people show up to watch the band but perhaps it was the fact that it was a Monday night. Whatever the case, I realized that it actually was beneficial to me because I could really focus on what the band was doing. Ive always been a fan of an intimate setting and this is exactly what it was.

Without going into specific songs, let me just say that even in front of a 10 person crowd, it was apparent that these guys were having fun and feeding off each other in their jams... Which I deem both essential to being able to enjoy live music. On top of that, the music (as expected) was laced with high energy, funky grooves that forced your body to move. I commented to my friend that I could definitely see these guys playing a larger venue (The Fillmore) because its the kind of music that is simply fun and makes you want to dance... if only they had a larger fan base. So with that said, I strongly urge all of those people that love to dance and enjoy the "funktification" of music to go check The Greyhounds out. Lets help these guys out. Believe me when I say that they will appreciate it. The drummer, Nick, expressed to us his gratitude for simply showing up.
