"kellerhead" - nice name ! is that how u get backstage at a keller show?
i would love to see leftover and moe at red rocks , but i would love to see the lips just as much
like most people i don't have to limit myself to enjoying only one genre of music , if i did my screen name would prob be "lipshead" lol
i half think u say the crap u do just to get a reaction - if so - BRILLIANT!
but maybe u really are just as ignorant as u come off - if so - SO SORRY , PLEASE DONT REPRODUCE

It is amazing how close minded some people are towards music. No, i do not have the lips on repeat all the time, but they are a extremely passionate and hard working. Cant wait to catch them again sometime.

Can I get a chant going...

Vega Productions

I got a chance to interview Wayne before the Lips headlined Berkshire in 2003---he was one of the nicest people I've ever met--music industry or otherwise...and to testify for how hard he works--rain almost canceled the Lips performance at the MN State Fair last year, but the storm cleared out at the last minute and their crew scrambled to get the stage set-up. Who was out there sweating like a madman to get the show on the road?? Wayne--he even had the crowd cheering him on the whole time as he strung cords, set-up mics, etc... I would put him on the same level as Warren Haynes as far his dedication and absolute love of the game.

kellerhead - you're just a fountain of musical ignorance, spewing unfounded vitriols of negativity whenever you see any band posted on jambase that doesn't prescribe to your apparently rigorous musical taste (or lack thereof perhaps?). so please, tell us: who exactly does belong on jambase? the fifteen or twenty bands that happen to 'jam' on a consistent basis? ok, sure. but that wouldn't seem all that interesting to me.

Man, all the pain..

The Lips have the stage show of GWAR with better melodies. The lyrics are deep. Granted, Wayne does diatribe, but he likes to explain things, like his music, his stances on issues, or the background of the songs.

And they do "go to the well" a few times , with the hampster ball, and other novelties; so what. They aint the Dead, I don't know anyone that tours for the summer with the Lips. But I do know people that get blow away the first time they see the Flaming Lips live. The confetti cannons, the streamers stuck in the stage lights, the strobs, etc.. you know what I mean....

The lips are more entertaining than Micheal Franti and he plays similar sets too, with just as much energy , and just as deep lyrics. Listen , or don't listen. but enoy what you choose to listen to. But if you see the lips, prepare to dance adnd shake it, and then rest between songs and listen to what is spoken. Or keep on dancing in your head.

It is true and this is the message I think wayne is trying to convey... If more people would love each other instead of bashing each other, think of what could be accomplished.

Can Steven Drozd play an instrument? The Lips have always made GREAT albums, and have gone through many changes. It was after they lost Ronald and Jonathon; when the soft bulletin came out. GOD BLESS THE FLAMING LIPS. I'll see the rest of you fearless freaks in Chicago and Madison.

Steven Drozd > Keller Williams

actually let me correct that

Steven Drozd > Most other people > Keller Williams

This is pretty cool stuff, i love webcasts, cause it's hard to rock bong hits in a crowd full of people with a genius in a bubble on top of you

FLips are scheduled to start at 11pm.

MC Chris (MC Pee Pants, Sir Loin, Little Brittle from Aqua Teen Hunger Force) is at this fest, but won't be streamed over the internet. Damn. This is the only kind of rap I want to see at a fest. Take note $uperfly.

dude. they erased my comment with the two kellerhead quotes. sorry if offended any ACTUAL gay people. the joke was criticizing people who lie about their interests, not gays. i guess you can't use the word "gay" on JBase when you're joking on people.
