This brings us to Friday my friends, it's 4/20 all day long and
don't even think about slowing down! So many fantastic choices for musical entertainment! Vinyl and Topaz at the Silver Wrapper Funktion, St. Germain rocking the Metro, and Bill Frisell jazzing out the Old Town School of Folk Music, Jack Straw at Hog Head McDunnas. And if you live out by Joliet, you might consider Los Lobos playing at the Rialto Square Theater.
Feeling like you’ve had enough already? Suck it up music fans I told you already to stock up on those vitamins ‘cause Saturday night's the chocolate frosting on one of the sweetest weeks Chicago has seen in a long time with the North Mississippi Allstars at The Vic Theater, Dr. Didg at Griffin’s Public House, a little Zappa with Project Object at Martyr’s, Mori Stylez out at Lake Forest College and last but not least, a sold out String Cheese Incident at the Aragon Ballroom. String Cheese fans can get that extra Gouda meltdown at Martyr’s after the Aragon show. DJ Harry will be spinning his own music that is comprised mostly of String Cheese Incident samples. It's your choice and they're all sure to be tasty treats!
This is the calm before the storm, do what needs to be done so that you can be sure to Go See Live Music! And remember, you can always sleep on Sunday!
