NEW SONG ‘HAPPY HANUKKAH’ AVAILABLE TODAY,
PROCEEDS TO BENEFIT HURRICANE SANDY VICTIMS

Grammy nominated recording artist Matisyahu has released a new song, “Happy Hanukkah,” to celebrate the upcoming holiday. The track is on sale via iTunes, Amazon.com and Matisyahuworld.com today, November 20. Produced by Kojak, “Happy Hanukkah” continues the tradition set by Matisyahu’s first Hanukkah song, “Miracle,” which received critical acclaim after its 2010 release. Check it out below.

Starting today, all proceeds from the song will be donated to help the victims of Hurricane Sandy. “I am from New York and wanted to give back to my incredible community in the wake of Hurricane Sandy,” said Matisyahu. Donations from the song will continue to benefit The Jewish Federations of North America and The Robin Hood Foundation until the end of Hanukkah on December 16.

On December 8, Matisyahu will kick off his sixth annual “Festival of Light” tour. The shows will feature his classic hits, songs off Spark Seeker as well as Matisyahu’s hand-picked selections for his fans. Four of his seven shows are intimate acoustic performances and for the remaining three, Matisyahu will be backed by his talented band, Brooklyn’s The Dub Trio. He’ll also return to the road in early 2013 for a limited run of special “Acoustic Evening With Matisyahu” performances to support the release of Spark Seeker: The Acoustic EP on January 15.
