Keller Williams
Bob Weir & RatDog and Keller Williams will cross the country this summer, sharing a stage both separately and together, making music and doing what they do best. The tour will begin in Atlanta on July 7 and end in Los Angeles on July 28.

Bob Weir is a founding member of the legendary Grateful Dead. He founded RatDog as a duo in 1995, and over the succeeding years he has enlisted Jay Lane (drums), Jeff Chimenti (keyboards), Mark Karan (lead guitar), Kenny Brooks (saxophone), and Robin Sylvester (bass). RatDog plays not only Bob's various solo material but the complete G. D. repertoire, and has evolved from an elegant duo to a snarling beast of a rock band that contains a jazz trio at its heart.

Keller Williams has been called guitar's mad-scientist and a one-man-band for the new millennium. Williams is considered by some, but not by himself, to be a master of the acoustic guitar, known for his ability to solo over layers of spontaneously created loops. He is a generous performer who plays down-to-earth acoustic music that defies any effort to find a convenient pigeonhole. If pressed for a definition, Williams, as adept with language as he is with a guitar pick, calls it solo, acoustic jazzfunk reggae technograss – or simply - solo acoustic dance music.

Sometimes musicians tour together purely because of business. These guys actually like each other, as evidenced by the tune "Cadillac" on Keller's recently released new album on SciFidelity, Dream, a duet between Keller and Bob.

Or, as the inimitable Weir said of him, "Keller Williams is more fun than a frog in a glass of milk." Keller seems to like the idea, too: "I love this tour because I get to get in for free."

That positive vibe will be felt across the country this summer.

This will rock. They played together at red rocks last year along with sci. Bobby and K-dub closed k-dub's set. Talk about a smooth accustic end. I was blown away. K-dub and Bobby together is probably the best thing happening this year. I have already got my tix for All Good just for that reason... Guess I gotta hit columbus too!

Why would they ever have the Chicago show at the Aragon? The Aragon is such an atrocious venue, unless you like to stand in lines for hours while security molests the concert goers. Northerly Island is such a better place, and it's outside, who would ever rather see an inside show when you can be on the beautiful lakefront. Their booking agent must be on something, and I'll second the no bay area WTF

This is the best news for some time for us here in LA. We get skipped over a lot for a big city. Last year was the shit with the Ratdog/SCI tour at the Greek. I am so stoked that Bob is coming back, and this time with Keller! Hell yeah!!! The Greek is the best venue in LA! Plus, they actually gave us a Saturday night, so we don't even have to skip work Monday. Thanks guys! We won't let you down...this show is going to be the highlight of the tour! PeAcE

So glad they're comin to C'ville. I'll drive from DC on down, better surroundings, less traffic.

And if you don't like Walther Production events, as they tend to trash the venues(festivals anyhow) and attract the thieving smack/crack heads, then not going there and being able to see them in C'ville is a much appreciated gig!

Love me Keller since 98!!!!!

I agree with you Walther's Production assessment. Freakshows run by freaks is not always a good thing. They used to be decent, but like just about everything else, they eventually attracted the "less desirables".

I'm not a Rat Dog fan, but KW is very dead-icated when it comes to THE music. Fans of both should be in for a real treat.

great combo...but in my humble opinion, kenny brooks (saxophone-ratdog) better loosen up his chops this tour because he obviously has not the past few shows I have seen. it seemed he was more interested in writing/taping 'clever' (debateable) sangs/words on his t-shirts than actually contributing to some meandering jams that could've used his brass presence. Go Keller. Go Bobby and the band. Just wake the hell up Kenny!

DMB4life2000...you are one of the lowest form of concert goers known to humankind. I feel sorry for Dave that he has to put up with people like you ruining the vibe of his shows. Luckily, he is making bank, so he can endure it. But you have no business here, where we are discussing real music and the most original live music scenes in the world.

Go back to your frat house and do a kegstand or something. If anybody sees this guy on tour, give him a heavy dose of liquid and see what happens...maybe we can do some frat boy style pranks on him then and see how he likes it. With our luck, it would probably turn him into a cool guy, and we wouldn't have to point out what a douche bag he is anymore...

If anyones near the Columbus Ohio area you need to Check them out at the Lifestyles Communities Pavillion (formerly Promowest Pavillion. ITs an awesome outdoor venue. It's the best venues in Columbus aside from the Newport. Also everyone needs to make it out to the hills for ALL GOOD, that is if you're not going to 10KLF. Fuck Bonnaroo this year. TOOL!???? White Stripes!????? Very few bands worth seeing at the 'Roo this year. It disappoints me greatly cause Bonnaroo its such a great all around festival.

I was bored today and thinking about how GDF refuses to give me a ride, steals my work, and calls me a douchebag all the time, so I went ahead and wrote some song lyrics. This is how I feel about tour...

You tell me I'm like jesus
then you f--- with bmy head
you f---- me over royally
even in my lover's bed
you steal all my possessions
as humble as they are
and you tell me all the time
that I've got a blackenned heart

so f--- you GDF
you aint no friends of mine
every day I wonder
what you're doing to my life

you wont give me a ride
wont let me earn up and gas
then you tell me that for staying here
I'm such a pompous a--

you tell me that I owe you
the world
all because I quit my job
gave it all away
said goodbye to my love
and dropped outa school one day

so f--- you GDF
you aint no fam of mine
I really really should
just show up on lot with a nine
cause f---ing GDF
they aint no family
well at least you've proved me right
I should get the f--- out of this country

"Go back to your frat house and do a kegstand or something. If anybody sees this guy on tour, give him a heavy dose of liquid and see what happens...maybe we can do some frat boy style pranks on him then and see how he likes it."

I can see you're a real fucking mature form of life. This my friends is the exact bad mentality that makes me not want anything to do with lot anymore. Oh, and by the way, all the ninja spins on that last tour where some fucks were spinning my brains, then thrashing up my ride while I was too fucked to drive, yeah that was real fucking mature. REALLY FUCKING MATURE.

And yeah, that little prank with my guitar was cute.

Next unkind prank I see pulled on me or anyone else and there will be blood. And not mine this time. You think thats a joke think again. I have no more time to endure antics that would not be tolerated in a pre-school yet are somehow acceptable on lot. Next time I see anyone, myself included, getting treated badly by some shwaggy lot fucks, somebody is getting hit. Hard.
