http://www.swainsflatoutpost.com/ -- Presentation By David Blume at 5.00 pm; Moonalice at 7:30 pm. All-ages show. Suggested donation $15. This event is a fundraiser for the Bridgeville Volunteer Fire Dept at the Van Duzen Grange in Carlotta. David Blume will be giving us a presentation on permaculture and using ethanol as an alternative fuel at 5:00 pm, and MoonAlice will be performing at 7:30 pm. The Bridgeville Volunteer Fire Dept. will be running the kitchen and providing food and spirits. There will be raffles and 50/50 tickets available. All money raised will go directly to the Bridgeville Volunteer Fire Dept. Show and Dinner tickets will be available at Swain's Flat Outpost in advance. The suggested donation amount for the show is $15, which does not include dinner. However the $10 dinner tickets will also be available for purchase in advance as well, at Swain's Flat Outpost. Please be sure to pick your tickets up in advance for the show at Swain's Flat so that we know how much food to have available. David Blume has been a pioneer in permaculture and self-sustainability for over 30 years. Mr. Blume wants to share his information on what natural resources we have available to us on Route 36, which would provide enough fuel, energy and food for us to eliminate our dependency on foreign oil. He has a ton of information that may help us all to eliminate our carbon footprint, protect our environment and save money. We also want to make sure everybody knows about our wood raffle that we are having to benefit area senior citizens. The tickets are $10 each or 3 tickets for $25. For every cord of wood that is raffled off, an area senior citizen will also be presented with a cord of wood. We are once again stocking our shelves behind the counter with assorted bourbons, vodkas and other such spirits. Our cafe is under construction right now and we are working hard to be open before the year's end.
