Ryan Adams announced last week he was going to do a “totally solo folk version” of Vampire Weekend’s self-titled first album as a gift to frontman Ezra Koenig, “if for no other reason than to make my pal Ezra fully realize how insanely important all their songs are to the integrity of mankind.” Initially saying these recordings would only be for Koenig, Adams started posting videos online.
