  • 7/3/2008 - 7/6/2008 Roskilde Festival Roskilde, DEN: Multi-stage Roskilde Festival’s audience expects extraordinary and unique experiences. Therefore, the festival presents contemporary, legendary, progressive and innovating quality music.

Roskilde Festival will not allow itself to rely on the success of previous festivals – it takes aim at being an innovative and challenging festival that presents the young talents of today and tomorrow.

Roskilde Festival concentrates on quality, innovation, and variation – not on becoming the biggest, the cosiest or the most established festival. Over the years, the festival has gained a solid foundation of experience and routine. However, Roskilde Festival still wants to be cutting edge and innovative.

Seeing that the audience expects the festival to continue being a relevant, exciting and surprising event, we will do our utmost to meet this demand.

Roskilde Festival’s trademark is – and continues to be – a large share of unpredictability, nerve and gut – coupled with a minor touch of the well-known stars of today. Vehicle passes, which allow parking on the fairgrounds site, will be available in December when tickets go on sale.

The free festival parking lot and box office is 0.7 miles from the festival site at Mill Creek Campground, a new location as of 2006. Shuttle service will run continuously throughout the weekend. Special cargo shuttles will help expedite transporting you and your belongings to the Fairgrounds at the commencement of the festival, and will be available until on-site camping is full. You are welcome to stay at Mill Creek Campground for the duration of the festival. On-site Vehicle Parking: If you wish to park on site, you must purchase a vehicle pass. Please note: As long as your vehicle does not exceed 18 feet in length, you can use a vehicle pass. No vehicle ins and outs. Once your vehicle is parked, you must keep it there until you are ready to leave the festival. Vehicles that have left will not gain re-entry until the end of the festival, and will be directed to park in the free lot. On-site vehicle passes are available only to those who have purchased 4-day festival passes. On-site parking spaces will be assigned on a first come, first served basis. Parking areas and camping areas can be separate - you may not be able to set a tent up right next to your vehicle, but you should be able to camp within a few yards.

On-site RV Parking: On-site RV passes are available a la carte and also through the Premium FestivAll Pack 3. RVs will be assigned spaces based on our parking plan. No exceptions. We will be filling RV Town first. Hookups are not guaranteed except for those who purchase FestivalAll Pack 3, though there are hookups available for the majority of those with RV passes. Please note: Any vehicle more than 18 ft. in length is considered an RV.

Off-site RV Annex: RV Annex is an easy stroll to Fairgrounds Gate 3 and the RV Town showers. This will be "dry camping" as there are no hook-ups on this site, and because the ground is dry in the summer we recommend bringing rugs or something to lay out in front of the entryway to your RV. Please note: RV Annex passes will not allow you to bring your RV into the Fairgrounds. http://www.highsierramusic.com
