During the days of August 9th through the 11th, in the year of two thousand and twelve, an event is taking place amongst the oldest mountains on planet Earth. Far beyond your favorite ugly sweater, hidden in the depths of your closet rests Eastern America’s highest town, Beech Mountain North Carolina, and The Festival of Gnarnia.

With 3 performance areas, interactive workshops, performance arts, bicycle jousting, mud wrestling tournaments, hikes, waterfalls, and exceptional vacation rentals, this event is in a class of its own. Ski lifts are available for guests to summit the apex of the mountain for yoga and meditation workshops or simply to watch the sunset fill a 100 mile view above these truly breathtaking Blue Ridge Mountains. Enjoy the comfort of any of the vacation rentals located directly on Beech Mountain. Cabins, chalets, and houses are all available within walking distance of the event. We’ve been told to expect deals of $20 per person, per night for staying at an Inn, Condo, or House; when booking with friends. Upgrade your rental and get something with a hot-tub for your VIP afterparty!
