Reed Foehl
Reed Foehl The long awaited follow up to Reed Foehl's 2004 release Spark is well underway. Red Parlor produced two tracks with the former Acoustic Junction front man this past winter and has set plans for recording the rest of the album in late spring of this year. Producer Jerry Krenach will continue to oversee the sessions at SubStation Studio in the Berkshires, Massachusetts.

The first two tracks, Carmalina and My Sweetheart, already strive to fulfill the promise of elevating Reed Foehl from independent craftsman to must-hear artist. Foehl possesses that rare ability to make personal stories sound like universal truths. His melodies disarm the toughest of emotions with an effortless subtlety, allowing his music to ultimately inspire rather then simply reflect.

Reed Foehl was first recognized as the lead of Acoustic Junction, a band which survived nearly the entire decade of the 1990's by maintaining a rigorous tour schedule and the release of five albums which sold a combined 100,000 copies. The response to his solo debut in 2004, Spark, was nothing short of spectacular, earning Foehl a steady stream of radio play and open doors for numerous film and television placements (see side bar).

Red Parlor's debut this March, with the final studio recordings of Chris Whitley (Reiter In), has immediately placed them on the industry's radar of labels to watch. A well rounded roster, Indie label attitude and major label smarts makes Red Parlor a perfect fit for the second solo outing by one of America's most promising new voices.
