The Organ Crushers are an Organ / Drum duo from Chicago Illinois. The band is made up of Daryl Coutts on hammond C3, wullitzer, clavinet, moog, and Wandering Genie; Joe Arteaga on drums and percussion. Their music is very heavily groove orientated but with a very aggressive energy creating sounds that can easily match that of a larger band. The music can be described as sounding like a mixture of Medeski Martin & Wood, Deep Purple, The Funky Meters, and Booker T and the MG,s to name a few.
