Lead guitarist and vocalist Gardner Fenton Goetze conceived his alias FenToN CooLfooT while riding on a tour bus with UK Reggae band Steel Pulse through Italy in 2006. As an alias, FenToN CooLfooT is a character that can come to life and play all styles, with a killer pro band every show featuring some of the Bays best talent on all instruments. A steady vein of early Red Hot Chili Peppers, Parliament/Funkadelic, Dub-Reggae, Peruvian Cumbia and early Rocksteady Reggae music run through the diverse sound.
FenToN CooLfooT has shared the bill with: Capelton, Monophonics, Vinyl, Beso Negro, Pressure, Romain Virgo and Protoje, Marc Ford, The Bad Jones, Guy Fox, The Shams and many more, as well as shared the stage with/recorded with: Salsa/Reggae band Mucho Axe, award-winning S.F. Latin/reggae band Manicato, Célia Faussart of Les Nubians, Big Tings! (roots reggae backing band), Gema de los Deseos (cumbia music), The Clean-Up Party Band, Afrorhythm, and the High Lonesome Sound System (country/dub/bluegrass). He has recorded with most of these groups including studio work with the popular Chicago-based Hip-Hop/Group House of Whales, formally Treehouse.
