The members of Soup have a knack for cooking up infectious grooves and spreading their brand of high-energy rock 'n' roll to their dedicated and ever-increasing fan base across the Midwest. On the heels of their sophomore studio release, Tsk Tsk Goes the Morning Whisk, the Milwaukee-based band finds themselves gaining steam as they recently offered memorable performances at the historic Shank Hall... in Milwaukee, High Noon Saloon in Madison, and The Cabooze in Minneapolis. In the six years Soup has spent together, the four-piece ensemble has also performed at a myriad of notable Midwest festivals including, Summerfest, Harleyfest, Whippersnap, and Jam for Jamaica.
Soup seasons their refined sound on any given night with bits of down-home Americana, splashes of spicy progressive rock experimentation, as well as pinches of classic rock and modern psychedelia, drawing from a fine mix of well-crafted originals and a sprinkling of tasteful covers. Improvisation and 'pushing the envelope' is commonplace for Soup, and a keen awareness of their audience's energy combined with the band's musical appreciation and vibrant stage presence ultimately generates a show that is a must see.
