- KIP'S PUB BOOKING MGR. AND STAFF.
"BLUE WAX IS A FANTASTIC BAND!"
- OWNER- DEAR JOHN'S PUB,
"This is Indy's most passionately soulful, blues and rock show.. PERIOD! "
The members of BLUE WAX have already left a mark on the Indy music scene, playing shows all over the city.
Lead guitarist Seth Burrell played in the "Blues Cats", a frequent winner of local blues competitions. He and
his older brother Matt Hum, bassist, are former members of "Dead Mr. Sunshine." Drummer/vocalist Dave
Pleiss is a former member of "Plaid Descent." Graham Rutherford became the band’s lead vocalist after
4 years of auditions. Graham is a talented singer/guitarist with a soulful voice and a steady funk method of
rhythm guitar picking. Collectively, the guys in the band have released five CDs and opened for such national acts
as Lenny Kravitz, Bon Jovi, Circle of Soul, Soul Asylum, The Why Store, Cheap Trick, and Meredith Brooks.
Seth created BLUE WAX to play the legendary works of the guitar heroes of the 60s and 70s. And as their logo suggests, BLUE WAX likes Classic Vinyl or (WAX) records.. with a "Blue" feel to them!! And there styles show it as the band plays hits and album tracks of such greats as Stevie Ray Vaughn, Eric Clapton, B.B. King, and ZZ Top. BLUE WAX is
also Indy's only blues/classic rock band that features the music of Robin Trower.
Most song selections have a danceable beat that will keep listeners on their feet. But the fun doesn't end
there. Like the Jimi Hendrix Experience, the group ventures into the unknown and takes the audience on a ride.
It's all about the journey. Heavy, man!
Hiring BLUE WAX for your venue is like having Stevie Ray Vaughn, Eric Clapton, ZZ top, And Robin Trower stop
by and throw a concert to amaze your crowd! Entrance your patrons and friends with the hot, smokehouse
Blues & Rock n' Roll of BLUE WAX...the band that keeps your crowd until the end. Remember, if it doesn't
have the BLUE WAX seal, it ain't a real classic rock and blues band.
