Hoseff, a traveling clan of gypsies, which began their journey in the early part of the 12th century, made their way through life providing live theater and musical entertainment as well as the sales of fruits, cheap trinkets, garments and other stolen goods. Originally hailing from Andalusia, Spain these Caló speaking Gitanos traveled through various parts of Europe expanding their clan along the way.
After centuries of living an audacious and careless life style many of the Hoseff clan have perished or been permanently incarcerated. In the early part of the 20th century the remaining Gitanos relocated to America. Today there are only 3 known surviving members of the clan and they are located around the Akron area of Ohio. They are still traveling musicians and have evolved into a Gypsy/Blues/Rock band still holding on to the name Hoseff.
