JCDC is Jim Clapham on djembe, percussion, and vocals and mutli-instrumentalist Daniel Cormier on guitar, synths, and lead vocals. A typical show features an energetic and diverse repertoire consisting of what the duo likes to call "classic music" ranging from Marvin Gaye, to the Grateful Dead, Paul Simon, Traffic, to Beck. "We play everything that we always wanted to see other artists cover, but never really did," says Dan. "it seemed perfect putting this project together, because Jimmy is just as a music geek as I am."
Self described as ‘an original cover group", Clapham and Cormier have been performing as a duo since the spring of 2008.
JCDC is based in the Central, MA area and has recently played for capacity audiences at the US Cellular Pavilion in Guilford, NH closing out the Phil Lesh & Friends show in the summer of 2008, and the Widespread Panic/Allman Brothers Band show in 2009.
Each show attracts new fans via word of mouth. Audience members and venue personnel alike have been quoted as describing JCDC's show as "energetic, soulful, sporadic, and one of a kind".
