the SKYS
the SKYS "the SKYS" is the brainchild of songwriter Wayne Allen, best known, until recently, for his role as guitarist/vocalist for the underground touring sensation, Green Lemon. Based in Oklahoma City, OK, the SKYS effortlessly blends rock, electronica, and pop with solid songwriting and anthem like melodies, creating a sonic blend that is new and fresh, and a sound that is entirely their own. After the breakup of the jam heavy Green Lemon in 2008, Allen wasted no time, immediately going into the studio to begin recording "the SKYS debut album, "Small Dreams in an Elevator," which is due to be released in January, 2010. The album was co-produced by Will Bradford (SeepeopleS), Brooke Binion (Freepeoples Frequency) and Will Holland, who is best known for his work with the Pixies, Dead Can Dance, and Fall Out Boy. Currently the SKYS are gearing up for an extensive national tour in support of the new release. For more information on Wayne Allen and the SKYS, please visit: www.theskysband.com.
