Since 1997, Talib Kweli and Hi-Tek have achieved critical success as the rap & producer collaboration known as Reflection Eternal. After meeting in Cincinnati, the two signed to the legendary hip-hop label Rawkus Records. The 1998 release of Black Star, a rap duo of Talib Kweli and fellow rapper and friend Mos Def, gained Kweli additional acclaim.
