The Horseshoe Lounge Playboys play what has been described as �acoustic backwoods Americana rockin roots� music. They throw down an obscure repoirte of original songs blended with material exhumed from musical tombs stretching from Appalachia to Memphis. This five piece band creates powerful vocals backed by guitar, mandolin, fiddle, acoustic bass and drums. According to Tobias Sperling of the Metro Gazzette, �The Horseshoe Lounge Playboys pump out Hillbilly music that rocks!� All five compose.
HLP was formed in Arizona in early 2008. The band toured the Southwest before returning home to the northeast. In 2009 HLP can be seen in Colorado, Arizona, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, Florida, and throughout New England. Their first album �One Horse Town� was released in February.
