Soul jazz organist Robert Walter built a reputation as one of America’s heaviest jazz-funk crossover musicians. He earned international acclaim for his work with the Greyboy Allstars, who were credited with bringing the 60s/70s soul jazz sound to a modern jam band audience. Robert Walter toured extensively in the U.S. and Europe for the past 15 years with the Greyboy Allstars and his own ensemble, 20th Congress. Over his career, Robert has played with the pioneers this genre including Fred Wesley, George Porter Jr., Melvin Sparks, Mike Clark, Chuck Rainey, Harvey Mason, Red Holloway, Leo Nocentelli, Phil Upchurch. After his move to New Orleans in 2004, Robert started playing with local musicians Stanton Moore, Donald Harrison, Johnny Vidacovich, and James Singleton. Cure All is Robert Walter’s first album on Palmetto Records.
