The Groovement Formed in the summer of 2007, around songwriter Leland Plumridge, The Groovement is bursting onto the Philadelphia scene. Their unique blend of Reggae-Rock is making them a standout act in the Philadelphia area. Alex Turbett (formerly of Syracuse based The Flavour) and drummer Rob Coccodrilli bring a solid rhythm that gets the crowd grooving and begging for more while key player Mike Hernandez holds it down. Combine all of these elements and you have a recipe for a great experience. Marked by their hard working attitude within months they have gone from playing bars to headlining Grape Street Philadelphia (which has featured artists such as The Roots, Breaking Benjamin, Staind, and Dispatch) to having a month long television interview and performance feature on Comcast Cable’s On Demand to playing shows for 93.3 WMMR as well as selling out at WXPN's World Cafe Live.
