The Black Atlantic

The Black Atlantic is former Shai Hulud and current Miscreants vocalist, Geert van der Velde's indie rock project. It started as a project with his best friend, Menno Vos (drums) but quickly turned into something more serious after Geert recorded his first song in February of 2006. The song was a Valentine's gift to his then girlfriend, now wife. Recording 'Send This Home (a letter in sonics)' and the subsequent label interest after the song's debut on Myspace gave the project the momentum that it needed to fully come alive.
