McTuff
McTuff Hammond organist Joe Doria brings together some of the best of the NW music scene to create a powerful and jaw-dropping funk and jazz sound like you've never heard. A mix of stellar musicianship, seasoned songwriting and deep groove where no musical stone gets unturned. McTuff is a movin' and groovin' adventure that you will not soon forget, featuring the impeccable Andy Coe on guitar and the incredible Tarik Abouzied on drums.

McTuff began in 2008 as an ode to jazz organ greats Jimmy Smith and Captain Jack McDuff has evolved into a versatile and exciting funk-jazz group that has performed across the nation. The band has two albums under its belt, their 2009 release McTuff: Volume 1 and their 2011 follow-up McTuff, Volume 2: After the Show, that display its many sides from the funky groove of Bad Coil, to the mellow ambiance of After the Show, all the way to the in-your-face attitude of Uneasy Rider.

McTuff has performed at festivals and venues all over the US from Bumbershoot to the New Orleans Jazz Fest. The band originally featured saxophone great Skerik, who still makes frequent appearances with McTuff, and its current members have performed with an impressive list of world-renowned artists including Carlos Santana, Stanton Moore, Ravi Coltrane, Bobby Previte, Santana drummer Michael Shrieve, Mike Stern, and many others.

The band entered the studio in December 2012 to record another album's worth of their signature sound, slated for release in early summer 2013. Keep an eye out for McTuff: Vol. 3, featuring Skerik along with this powerful trio.
