Turnip Stampede
Turnip Stampede Turnip Stampede is based out of Oswego, NY, consisting of John McConnell on rhythm guitar/vocals, Max McKee on bass/vocals, Adam Fisher on lead guitar/vocals, and Dave Schlossberg on the drums. The four come together to form an idiosyncratic mixture, combining everything from jazz, funk, blues, and rock, creating an uplifting atmosphere of sound and feel that moves the mind and body of each and all that listen. Although the band itself is new to the scene, the players are far from novice. Each player has been involved with numerous other projects, sharing the stage with Warren Haynes, Phish, Blues Traveler, Joan Osborne, The Spin Doctors, Widespread Panic, Mike Stern, and The Whisperers, among others. With the diversity of their musical backgrounds, the four have united to focus on Turnip Stampede, embracing a musical experience rooted in the sounds of past and growing into a sound distinctly its own.
