Boots Riley Boots Riley, 34, is co-founder of the Oakland hip-hop group the Coup, a fiercely outspoken, thumb-in-your-face collective whose song titles such as "5 Million Ways to Kill a CEO" are rallying cries for social activism. The father of three is now producing Internet videos to promote Bay Area artists. His forthcoming album, "Pick a Bigger Weapon," arrives April 25, then he will join rappers Dead Prez to form the Instigators' Project.
