Paying homage to the legendary Allman Brothers Band, founded solely on the passion for the music, Revival, formed in 2004, is quickly on the rise and has become one of the best tribute bands in the New York tri-state area. Yet it doesn’t seem right to call a group like Revival a tribute band. Unlike some tribute bands, Revival is not performing a routine. They don’t dress up in Beatles attire, prance the stage like Mick Jagger, or play note-for-note guitar solos. And, although Revival is not trying to sound exactly like the Allman Brothers, most of the time they do, with their amazing guitar work, jamming rhythm section, and Gregg Allman-like vocals.
Revival is much more attitude than imitation. Revival captures the true spirit of what the Allman Brothers band is all about. Their music creates an environment where fellowship can thrive, and people come out to each gig for that atmosphere. Since 2004, Revival has gained praise from Allman Brothers fans and jam-band fans alike, and have become a staple at One Eyed Jacks in Queens, NY. They have headlined in clubs like The Lion's Den in Manhattan, Fuzzy's Wolfrose Pub on Long Island, and The Wicked Monk in Brooklyn.
Revival has a complete song library spanning the thirty-plus year career of the Allman Brothers Band, as well as numerous classic blues rock covers from which it crafts each show's set list, carefully endeavoring to not repeat songs or set lists at each show. Revival is also available for private functions and classic rock weddings.
