The five man crew hits heavy with big city funk aged in the south and bred from the sounds and likes of the forefathers of funk, soul, and jazz. Having crossed paths with The Big Tasties, Oteil Burbridge and the Peacemakers, The Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Salvador Santana, Dumpsta Phunk, John Scofield, Eric Essix, Dubconscious, Better than Ezra, Peter Wolf, and Chuck Leavell, the Honey shares a similar groove of fusion that rides the boundaries holy trinity of soul, funk, and jazz. Each member has taken their classical training to the next tier, paving the way for a new music tradition in Birmingham, AL. Where the lines from Southern rock and Northern jazz-funk blur, you will find the Honey oozing a sweet rhythmic anthem.
