Admiral Bailey is one of the principal and most important DJs to emerge from the latter-day raggamuffin era of Jamaican reggae music. He was born and grew up in the Kingston 12 ghetto of Waterhouse.

He began his DJ career for the legendary King Jammys and was also a regular artist on the sound system of the same name.
