Hoofla
Hoofla Hoofla formed in October of 2005. When Heywood, a former Minneapolis jam band parted ways in the fall of 2005, former members RJ, Joe, and Bill started a new group with Ben Salley which has become Hoofla. Both Bill & Ben attend McNally Smith School of Music in St. Paul, Minnesota. Both RJ & Joe attend the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Hoofla has been busy putting together a 2-disk compilation of live and studio tracks, due to be available in Summer 06. The band tries to create something unique and eclectic every time they play. They promote a sense of community between the guys in the band and the audience. Genres that provide influence include fusion, jazz, funk, and progressive rock.
