BBQ Brothers
BBQ Brothers BBQ BROTHERS is a progressive improvisational outfit based out of Southern California. The band was formed in 2005 and the main focus for these guys has been live shows and a new musical exploration. At the core of the BBQ BROTHERS is a Jazz Trio that has been there since the beging. Guitarist and front man Topher Nichols, bassist Stephen Mills and drummer Alfonzo Cordero get the ball rolling while a revolving door cast may include additional guitars, percussion, horns and vocals. BBQ BROTHERS have played with such acts as Fishbone, Melvin Seals & JGB, Apollo Sunshine, The Benevento-Russo Duo, Big Organ Trio, Delta Nove, etc. Venues played include LA's The Roxy Theatre, The Whisky a Go-Go, BB Kings Blues Club, The House of Blues, etc. Festival appearances such as the Orange International Street Fair, Laguna Beach Block Parties and the Family Funk Fest keep fresh faces coming to shows and each event is unique. The BBQ BROTHERS have twice been nominated as Best Jamband by the Orange County Music Awards and have showcased their music across the land. Keep an eye out and open your mind, see you at the shows.
