Deborah Crooks
Deborah Crooks "Deborah Crooks pours stiff shots of brains, soul and guts into her compositions...."- Flavorpill

Singing about faith, love and loss, Deborah Crooks is an intimate and edgy artist with lyric-writing skills honed by a lifetime of writing, world travel and study of yoga and Buddhism. Singing and songwriting steadily since 2000, she recorded her first EP 2003's "5 Acres," which had two tunes picked up for compilation discs including RockerGirl's Discoveries CD. A follow-up to her 2007 EP "Turn It All Red, "Adding Water to the Ashes" is her first full length CD. Drawing from rock n'roll, Americana, folk and the singer-songwriter tradition, she's drawn comparision to Chrissie Hynde, Lucinda Williams and Mazzy Star.
