Chester Brown
Chester Brown A hardworking, North-West Indiana environment has created a touring monster that has cowboyed through over 1,600 shows from Cleveland to California. Chester Brown has shared the stage with bands like Los Lobos, Vinnie Amico of Moe, Mr.Blotto, Chicago Blues legend Lonnie Brooks, Rusted Root, Railroad Earth, Cubensis, 56 Hope Road, Jazz legend Herman Green, The Big Wu, Willie Waldman and Steve Molitz to name a few. The bands ability to smoothly translate and transcend their music from melodic oceans of sound into volcanic peeks of endless energy and back comes from a decade of down home dirty work and road weary wear and tear. The five distinct personalities of Chester Brown collide and combust to create a sound all their own as they have been described using many labels running the gamut from Alt- Country, to Rock and Roll, Americana to Jazz and everything in between. The band prides themselves on their full throttle musical attack of over sixty originals. Chester Brown released "Stale Cigarettes" in 2007 and live @ The Shoreline in 2009. They just released their self titled album on Nov. 19, 2011. It features Vinnie Amico of "Moe" and consists of their song "Wonder" which was featured in the 2009 /2010 winter issue of Relix. They will also release a documentary called "Band in a Jam" in spring 2012.
