"....as with any good sermon, it's the man behind the keyboards who keeps you awake. John Ginty's simple piano melodies, throbbing Hammond organ, and untamed attack on the Wurlitzer adeptly anchor this album."
- Jason Lewis (FFWD Weekly Review of Blind Boys of Alabama’s "Higher Ground")
"Ginty is known for his great organ work with the Family Band, playing off of the energy of Randolph. But, on " I Shall Not Walk Alone", it is his beautiful piano work that makes the song. For any fan of Ben Harper- or music in general, for that matter- this song is worth the price of the album."
