FreeSound FreeSound is a 4 to 5 piece roots music 'rock with soul' band based out of Hawaii and the San Francisco North Bay area. As a sign of their versatility, their original music blends styles and sounds from funky grooves, folk psychedelia, roots reggae, and rock N blues, crossing genres, hence their unique "freesound".

Their lively original music is reflective of artists like Red Hot Chili Peppers, Marley, Hendrix, and Pink Floyd. Their music is also likened to that of some great rock acts including Cream, Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, and Metallica. They readily throw down powerful roots reggae and blues styles or mix everything up into a big pot of "free sound". Keith Batlin's vocals and harmonies cover a truly amazing range of styles and complexities. Lead guitarist Adam Crowe fills up the music with spacious sound effects, lap slide, and improvisations and solos leaving audiences shaking their heads. These two have been the core songwriting component of FreeSound, with CDs to their credit and a solo CD by Adam.
