The Jude Bowerman Band The Jude Bowerman Band plays straight-up tear-your-head-off funky music. Drawing from such influences as jazz, funk, blues and hip-hop their raw original music unseats audiences and leaves them with no alternative but to shake their butts. Known for their interaction with audiences, shows have been compared with those of Spearhead and Ben Harper. Having toured the west coast relentlessly (200+ shows a year since their 2002 inception), performing at hip venues such as the Boom Boom Room in San Francisco CA, the Carlin in Billings MT, Quixotes in Denver CO, Whiskey Jacques in Ketchum ID and countless others, they are poised for National attention. Jude's live performances are high energy and uplifting, with non-stop infectious grooves punctuated by a distictly original voice and firey guitar playing. The bands influences and abilities are seemingly endless and their energy to share and perform is equally as deep. Jude Bowerman is surrounded by a group of Seattle veterans who have worked with members of Ani DiFranco's band, Pearl Jam's Dave Abbruzesse, Screaming Tree's and Dusty 45's Mark Pickerel and Matt Chamberlin (Macy Gray, Tori Amos, Eddie Brickel, Critters Buggin). Jaques Willis (drums) and Jon Markel (bass) form a funk-solid rhythm section honed through the band's non-stop touring and on-stage creativity. The current lineup solidified with the addition of Nathan Spicer on B-3, Fender Rhodes and Hohner Clavinet. With numerous sold-out performances on the West Coast behind them, the band is ready to take their sound to the National level. Along with constant touring, the Jude Bowerman Band released their second disc "We Only Met Yesterday" through Yellow Tone Records in 2005. Having sold over 10,000 discs to date their growing grassroots following has made them fan favorites at clubs and festivals throughout the western half of the U.S.
