Green Lemon
After a holiday break, Green Lemon is hitting the road for their 2007 Winter Tour. The 2007 Winter Tour will keep the Colorado-based band on the road for over three months with shows from the West Coast to the East Coast and will feature several special collaborations with performers including Charlie Hitchcock and members of Karl Denson's Tiny Universe in their side project, Blu Sirkut.

The tour kicks off on January 25 in Las Vegas, followed by a three show run with special guest Charlie Hitchcock sitting in. Hitchcock, formerly of Particle, will join Green Lemon in Los Angeles, San Diego and in Tucson, AZ for the Tucson Gem & Jam Show. The tour will then sweep through the ski resort towns of Colorado including a joint show in Breckenridge with Blu Sirkut. Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi will all be juiced as the band heads to their strongholds in the southeast before turning north towards the upper Midwest.

Green Lemon blends progressive rock, reggae, electronica and on-the-spot jam improvisation to create the unique sound that is attracting an exploding fan base across the nation. The band members draw inspiration from a wide variety of musical genres. While guitarist Steve Schaben studied jazz in college, his fellow guitarist, Wayne Allen, prefers the sound of Irish rockers U2. Keyboardist Jon Cordero and bassist Jesse Fioravanti listen to indie rock, but drummer Chris Cox enjoys reggae and Maroon 5. Add four songwriters within the group to this diversity of musical tastes and you've got a recipe for auditory bliss. By merging pumping electronica beats with smooth reggae melodies, soaring vocals and some shredding guitar solos, Green Lemon inspired Relix magazine to declare that they "could very well lead the next generation of jambands."

I really enjoy Green Lemon's Music. Their music demonstrates their incredible talent. Each song has a different style and you’re never bored at one of their shows. I heard they will have a new CD out in late May or early June. If their new stuff is any indication of what is to come, I can't wait. I have seen them at several festivals and other live shows and it has always been great. If you haven’t seen these guys live, go check them out, you won’t be disappointed.

If you are in Las Vegas (or you need a quick road trip), be sure to come out on January 25th @ Moondoggies West on Rainbow Blvd., 8pm. Local favorites, Psychic Pussy open up with their brand of 'Experimental Psychic Fusion Jam Cult Rock', and GL hit's the stage at about 9:30pm. It's going to be a fun night, so come on down and get your share!

I Love Green Lemon! Their music is a great blend of creativity, harmony, talent, and varied musical styles. Their songs are skillfully written and their lyrics are thought-provoking &/or full of humor. When I attend a GL show, I become submerged in their sound. Their shows are fun and entertaining. I can't wait to see them at several festivals this spring and summer. Thanks GL for Great Music!

Green Lemon is one of my favorite bands...they have rare qualities for a band in the "Jam" scene. GL can sing! straight up these boys can blow and they can hold a harmony. They also have some very real shit that they sing about. I hope to see Green Lemon do special things in music. Im thinking Radiohead size following with the rabid loyalty of a real Spreadhead this is where Green Lemon can go.

Green Lemon continues to travel the country-side bringing incredible jams along with polished vocals and an energy that stays with fans for days on end. Each city they stumble into should brace themselves for a satisfying evening of music and all skeptics should get to a show to support this solid group of musicians.

This band gets me like no other. I plan to see at least 13 shows on this tour and will be left jonesing for next time. This will be big and is only the beginning.
