The Afghan Whigs are pleased to announce they will be performing at Terminal 5 in New York City on October 5 with special guests Eagles of Death Metal.
Tickets for this show will go on sale this Friday (April 27) at Noon and can be purchased at www.ticketmaster.com or www.bowerypresents.com.
The Afghan Whigs (who have reunited after a 13 year hiatus) have announced 23 worldwide shows to date for 2012 including performances at Lollapalooza, ATP's I'll Be Your Mirror (London & NJ), Primavera Sound (Barcelona & Portugal) among numerous others. The New York City show is the first non-festival appearance going on sale in North America.
Formed in 1986, the bands career from then until 2001 saw them release six critically acclaimed albums during their career. Fusing classic rock with grunge-era distortion and a heavy soul influence, The Afghan Whigs were one of the most renowned live bands of their time.
