This November, Cake will challenge their fans to a mustache-growing competition in conjunction with Movember, a global charity event where men grow mustaches during the month of November. The “Mustache Man” contest, named after Cake’s song of the same name from their latest album, Showroom of Compassion, will be hosted at http://mobro.co/CAKE.

CAKE has created their own Movember team and several band members, including Vince DiFiore, Gabriel Nelson, Xan McCurdy and Paulo Baldi, will be joining in on the fun and growing mustaches alongside their fans.

Additionally, Cake is challenging their fans to compete against each other in the “Mustache Man” contest. Participants can submit photos of their mustaches in one of the following categories: “The Largest,” “The Most Nostalgic,” or “The Most Dangerous.” Submissions will be accepted through December 3, and the winners in each category will be chosen by the band and announced on December 6.

One grand prize winner will receive a pair of tickets to Cake’s New Year’s Eve concert at The Fox Theater in Atlanta, GA, round trip airfare for two, hotel accommodations for two nights at an Atlanta hotel, special seating during the show, an on-stage introduction by the band, and a meet and greet with Cake after the show.

Cake frontman John McCrea says “It’s time for the mustache to become a force for positive change. For many years it was just the opposite, but life is so unpredictable.”

Cake is John McCrea, Vincent DiFiore, Xan McCurdy, Gabriel Nelson and Paulo Baldi.
