FALL TOUR STARTS OCTOBER 1 IN ASBURY PARK, NJ

Battles is currently premiering the video for “My Machines” which features synth-pop pioneer Gary Numan. The video is an collaboration with The Creators Project’s The Studio, which produces and distributes works from artists representing a cross-section of creative disciplines.

“My Machines” is available as a 12” colored vinyl single via Warp Records; the printing is extremely limited due to the recent Sony DADC warehouse fire in the U.K. The track – off of the band’s critically acclaimed sophomore record Gloss Drop (available now via Warp Records) – has been hailed by SPIN as “a triumphant moment, an experimental outburst both ingenious and accessible.” Numan notes that “working with Battles was an easy choice for me. They have a unique approach to making music and a clear idea of what they want. They are inventive, adventurous, unpredictable and I’m proud to be involved.”

Launched in 2010 by Vice and Intel, The Creators Project is an ongoing global initiative dedicated to supporting artists in realizing their creative visions through technology. The project includes an online community, a content creation studio, and a global event series. The project unites a vast collection of artists, designers, musicians, and filmmakers who are using technology to push the bounds of creative expression. To date, there are more than 150 Creators involved, hailing mostly from seven countries (United States, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Brazil, South Korea and China) along with other artists from around the world.

Battles’ fall tour begins in October. Find out more about it here.
