No one drums quite like Grateful Dead co-founder Bill Kreutzmann. Oh, folks say that about musicians all the time, but when one’s percussion tact was encouraged early on by Aldous Huxley there’s bound to be some profound differences, and there surely are with Billy, who rides in the musculature of the music he plays, listening intensely and bringing swing to the strangest of places. Today is Billy K’s 65th birthday and we’re tickled four shades of pink that he’s on this earth. Thank you for so, so, so much amazing music over the years, sir.
