By Team JamBase Mar 3, 2011 • 10:02 am PST

Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey is set to hit the Midwest at the end of this month on the final leg of the Stay Gold release tour. All tour dates are below.
In the second half of January, the band reconvened at The Church Studio in Tulsa, OK where they recorded a suite of music written by Chris Combs about the 1921 Tulsa Race Riot. Check out video from the session below. The Suite was written for the JFJO quartet plus horn quintet featuring Jeff Coffin (Bela Fleck & the Flecktones, Dave Matthews Band), Steven Bernstein (Sex Mob, Levon Helm), Peter Apfelbaum (Hieroglyphics, Don Cherry), Mark Southerland (Snuff Jazz), & Matt Leland (a fouding JFJO member). More information on the Suite can be found by clicking here.
The album that began the odyssey, Live at the Lincoln Continental (1995), is now available for download on iTunes and other digital retailers. In addition the band has digitally reissued their second album, Live in Tokyo (1996), available for download from iTunes and digital retailers worldwide. Also available after years out-of-print is the 2002 classic All is One: Live in NYC.
