The Disco Biscuits: 2 Months of Side Projects

The Disco Biscuits Announce Two Months of Side Projects
Small Break for the Band Brings Schedule of Side Project Dates

The Disco Biscuits
Following a blockbuster Spring Tour that saw The Disco Biscuits in the midst of their best year of shows in a decade, the band looks forward to a summer of confirmed festival appearances and side project dates (check our review of Bisco at The Fillmore here).

Marc Brownstein and Aron Magner return with DJ Omen and Conspirator on June 16 at the Orpheum Theater in St. Louis with Shpongle and Pnuma. From there, they continue to Baltimore on June 18 to perform at the Summer Solstice Projekt (also with Shpongle), and then to the Highline Ballroom in New York for a late night show with Sub Swara and Big Gigantic. They bring it home to Philly to tie up the run at the TLA with The Egg and Big Gigantic. Tickets for St. Louis, New York, and Baltimore are now available on BiscoTix and the Philly show is on sale Friday, May 15.

Jon Gutwillig will keep cranking out music with a couple projects of his own. M80 Dubstation will perform on June 14 in Atlanta at dub_ocracy with Benga and DJ Spooky. On May 16, Jon rejoins Players Club, featuring Mike Greenfield and Tom McKee for a show with Grimace Federation at the TLA in Philadelphia.

Brownie will join up with Younger Brother as they fly in from across the pond for a few shows leading up to their scheduled Camp Bisco appearance. On July 9, YB kicks off their U.S. shows with a late night show at Terminal 5 in New York. On Friday, July 10 they head to Baltimore for a show at the Sonar, and then on Saturday, July 11 they will perform one last pre-Camp Bisco blowout at the TLA!

Thirteen years after playing their first note together in Philadelphia, PA, The Disco Biscuits continue to make mind bending, genre defying music. With their fifth studio album on the way, the band's first since 2002, the Biscuits once again look to redefine what it means to be a live band living in a studio setting. The product of three years in the hole with Philadelphia hip-hop duo Don Cheegro and Dirty Harry, along with some close guidance from the U.K. electronic duo of Simon Posford and Benji Vaughn (Twisted Records U.K.), will once again satisfy fans of the band in a way they have never heard before – a quality many have come to find synonymous with the band's releases and performances through the years.
