Its called "jam"base for real bands that improvise. I respect hip hop - but I don't come here to read about it. It is not "hip hop"base......

Damn, "TheJuice", think you could be a little more racist? If you're not interested in the concert, I think there may be a clan meeting you could attend that weekend.

Damn what a bunch of haters. The "frat boys" with popped collars are no where near as annoying as the haters who think they are in the know. I mean just keep to your dirty sideways billed cap Bisco friends and it should all work out This will be a great two day event. Especially if you also catch the free music at Grimey's tomorrow for record Store appreciation day:

12@ Grimeys-Avett Brothers, Black Joe Lewis and the Honey Bears, Del Mccoury Band, Charlie Louvin and Mute Math FREE1!!

Then in Cent. Park The Dynamites and Susan Tedeschi and Friends for FREE for Earth Day. Vandy is across the street so top it all off with Black Joe Lewis>Grand Ole Party>N.E.R.D.> The Flaming Lips.

I have gone to Rites of Spring for years (since high school)... it is not that fratty. It is a good mix of people. I don't enjoy Vandy kids usually but I appreciate them putting this on. It is great for Nashville.

Hip hop shows are not to be taken seriously, they are meant to be fun (maybe jambasers should take themselves a little less serious). Nappy Roots was a f'in blast a few years ago.

Also, Flaming Lips is a badass band.

I graduated from Vandy and helped organize and put on Rites of Spring for 2 years. It was always one of my favorite weekends of the year. You can stereotype people as much as you want to, but just because someone wears a polo and boat shoes doesn't mean they don't know good music or know how to have a good time. It's live music, it's outside and you can bring your own beer. I'm not exactly sure what there is to complain about.

no there is no room for complaints anytime your school brings you music, and most schools around the nation have taken to this also im just saying my entire family is from nashville im there all the time and theres nothin i hate more then a dumbass frat dude saying "fucking sweet bro!!!" standing right next to me at a show. im all for inclusion and spread of good tunes but i went to a similar event @ wake forest university and the crowd just wasnt my shit.

i dont care what anyone says, this festival is going to be dope. they have these tight chinese kinda lights running the entirety of the lawn, an elevated dj spinning during setbreaks, mountain jim ice cream (insanely heady and amazingly tasty independent ice cream vendor) and always sweet merch. Im jacked up personally. You better believe ill keep my case cold in my trunk and go out to re up several times a day. BYOB is amazing at festivals these days and u know it

question:"isn't TI in Jail?" ---answer: celebrities don't serve time. well, not REAL time. But, all of the negative media is usually great for album sales. Especially when it comes to rap albums.
