Man these guys used to be punk rock but they totally sold out to bluegrass.
That had to be a great time. Solid run and review, good job!
looks like a successful run for the boys
Keep on Going>2 hits and the joint turned brown > Keep on Going looks like a really fun opener on the 3rd night
love these guys and todd is the man, cant wait for red rocks!
Seeing them friday night @ the Fillmore can't wait. Want to hear casualty, steep grade sharp curve, out of the blue, 2 hits and the joint turned brown. Nice Old Style (Old Stooly) shirt by Jeff.
wow, i really like the setlist from the second night. yonder mountain shows are always an absolute blast, regardless of what they play. listening to the tapes can live and die by how the banjo sounds though, the other 3 are always on, but lots of times the banjo playing is just awful. you don't really notice as much at the shows, but it sounds pretty terrible on the tapes sometimes. i always recommend going to the shows though, you'll love it.
KINFOLK...
Thats what its about.
I seen a lot of people I know in these pics. People who go to every yonder show they can.
I love this band and always will.
Article is VERY VERY WELL written. Congrats!!
Just caught them in San Diego, and the show was amazing, But like the article says, HOB, arent great. Its the house of rules.
And the banjer is never awful!! DJ Kills it.
Darol & Yonder = Sublime Good Time.
Two nights of kick arse bluegrass coming up at THE FILLMORE!!!!!!!!
great review/pictures. damn, that is some cool stuff... makes me want to venture (move) out west?
how was the morning dew? new speedway boogie?
girlfriend is better?
sounds really awesome!!!
Once again Sarah, top notch review. The reader really gets a sense of just how much of a fan yo are, without it coming across as a personal journal. From one YMSB fan to another, thanks for sharing the love. See you further down the road.
One of the best articles I've read on Jambase. Makes me want to catch some Yonder soon.
Great review. Great pics. Can't wait for next Friday in Eugene!
I feel sorry for bands that have to play Dallas.
great review. i love yonder
Nice pics. Nice Zappa shirt Jeff. Anyone else think he is starting to look like Robert Downey Jr?
You know what awesome about YMSB??? Everything!!!!! Get to see them in a few weeks, and I can't wait.
Splendid review of your run Hagerman and great pics Bill. The snarky HOB comments are classic and made me crack-up. Your way w/ the words really shows how much music means to you.
By far the most engaging, entertaining review I've read on jambase. Great job Sarah, keep writing!!! and Jambase keep hiring!!!
Yonder is my favorite band goin... northeast sometime soon please
WOW WHAT SETLISTS! If those guys are playing those kind of setlists i will go see them every chance I get! great stuff!!!
I love me some fast ass bluegrass and whiskey! Seen these guys a bunch and I always boogie on down no matter what kind of setlist, because they always bring the heat! Great article too.
Looks like a great run, keep up the good tunes and have fun in Eugene, boys! See you at Red Rocks:)
Nice article. I love Yonder at all stages, in all forms, and most of their songs. Cannot wait for next week in Tahoe. They always shine so bright up there.
"Hey, this might as well be an Austinite anthem, at least for us "tree huggin', peace lovin', pot smokin', porn watchin' lazyass hippies." So preach on brother Snider, you're in good company here. As my friend Jamie shouted periodically throughout the night, "This is AUSTIN, we don't give a FUCK, y'all!"
Sounds like a real winner.
More like yawnder. I'm amazed that they're able to make every one of their songs sound the same and people still spend money to see them.
In reference to the HOB show...my friends and I are those hippie contingents twirlin down, drinkin big beers and throwing tye die shirts....at least some of us like to get weird in dallas....and then we got even weirder at stubbs!!!
Yonder is the shit!
