Nice one Danalog. So true. Franti....whatever.

Roy Ayers is the man. Was not aware he is playing out. Old school funk and soul. Highly recommended!

at least there's De La Soul and Raphael Saadiq. this never ceases to amaze me. what happened to if you cant say anything nice dont say it at all. Isnt jam music, ie jambase, founded around tolerance and positivity? i think a lot of you would be happier people if you look for good instead of bad, you might actually have a nice day once in a while.

Come on now...we should be able to say whatever we want...and I say this line up doesn't do it for me. And danalog it's "How you feeling"

Pretty weak initial lineup. I'm sure it will get better, bumbershoot rarely disapoints. Seattle sucks dong??

another waste of a good headline position which could have been filled by a whole plethora of solid acts. i heard these four dudes from vermont are pretty good.

W.E.A.K....Franti & Sly/Robbie are the only two artists I'd spend time seeing. Where is Panic? Ziggy Marley? Soulive? Vinyl? Allman Brothers? Burning Spear? Derek Trucks Band? Hot Tuna? Black Uhuru? Moe? Steve Kimock's Crazy Engine? Karl Denson? Tea Leaf Green? Neil Young? Yonder Mountain? Hot Buttered Rum? I mean....ALL OF THESE BANDS ARE TOURING!! This is my hometown festival and it's a joke once more.

I'm not defending this line up or anything, but I was in Seattle last year visiting friends and we caught the tail end of the fest after spending a night in Vancouver. Xavier Rudd's set was amazing, a truly spiritual experience.

Just want to say that Bumbershoot is MUCH more than a music festival. They also tend to add acts as the time gets closer. Don;t hate on it until you have been there. It is well worth the completely reasonable ticket price.

I understand why people are ripping on this festival, i was going too also until i read peoople hating on sheryl crow. if all you know about her is her radio friendly songs then you don't know shit. she has done some great blues work with the likes of eric clapton amoungst others. check out pavarotti and friends for war child, a classic mix up of genre melting music...don't be ignorant

^^if waynestock existed i would not have to see any shows all year except waynestock and only waynestock... i mean with a lineup like Aerosmith, Pearl Jam, Van Halen, and old guy fashioning a canoe out of a log.. NO! RIP TAYLOR! RIP TAYLORS GOING TO BE THERE!

Have any of you critical, negative people ever even been to Bumbershoot? This is not Bonnaroo folks, It's been around a hell of a lot longer and it's not a hippie scene, they have a bit of everything. $80 for three days, lots of entertainment.

Yea, this is not what everyone here thinks of as a 'festival'. I'm sure there will be a lot of great and varied talent there, there always used to be. I used to live in Seattle and this was one of the great downtown events that made the area....and its not the 'big' names generally but the little local bands and folk bands and stuff. Caught alot of great shows there back in the day. Bumbershoot, Folk Life, Bite of Seattle trifecta of food, beer, and fun.
