Announcing Caribbean Holidaze 2009

From December 10-14, 2009, magical things will happen. Let us all bask in the sunshine, swim in theocean, sip on dirty bananas with little umbrellas while we listen to the sweet sounds of our favorite bands. Shoes are optional all week long as the moon and stars watch over us and music fills our souls all night long. Along with The Disco Biscuits and Umphrey’s McGee, Cloud 9 Adventures is proud to announce the complete artist lineup joining us in Jamaica for Caribbean Holidaze:

Umphrey’s McGee
Umphrey’s McGee

Let the music play day and night at Caribbean Holidaze. Here is a brief breakdown on how it works:

3 Disco Biscuits shows • 3 Umphrey’s McGee shows
2 shows by the New Deal • 2 shows by Perpetual Groove
2 shows of Lipp Service “Eliot Lipp & Members of Pnuma”
1 Yacht Rock show • 1 Omega Moos show
1 Dan Lebowitz solo show • 1 Brock Butler solo show
2 shows by Michael G from Easy Star
Late nights in the Disco with D-BO, DrFameus and others!

Yacht Rock is Dan Lebowitz, Jamie Shields and Ryan Stasik, with Kris Myers and Joel Cummins of Umphrey’s McGee. The smooth sounds from ’76-’84 come alive with the musical reincarnation of this momentous phenomenon. The hottest rock stars you know and love will perform.

Omega Moos: Proficient melodic wankery and rump-shaking prog-rock remix meets Genesis and what they would sound like if produced by DJ Tiesto. It’s a blast from the past dance party times a thousand. It takes the sounds of Jamie Shields and Darren Shearer to elevate its rock-ness, while adding a dirty breakbeat feel to the signature sounds of Brendan Bayliss and Ryan Stasik.

Michael G from Easy Star All-Stars will be performing material from the band’s Dub Side of the Moon, Radiodread, and their new album Lonely Hearts Dub Band.

There are only 400 rooms total and 250 of them are already reserved for people who knew they were coming no matter what. Until midnight on Monday April 1, visit the booking page to reserve your room. By paying a deposit of $250 per person you will be HOLDING A ROOM at the Caribbean Holidaze event.
