Coheed & Cambria: New Box Set

COHEED & CAMBRIA to release limited Neverender: Children of the Fence Edition
DVD/CD Box Sets on March 24

Coheed and Cambria
NEVERENDER was the landmark event where, for the first time ever, Coheed and Cambria performed all four of their concept albums in entirety over four nights. Now for the first time, on March 24, you can re-witness this incredible journey through an amazing box set containing not only a DVD and audio CD of each night's performance, but also a must-have photobook and documentary DVD that captures the journey leading to this spectacular event. In addition, the limited edition deluxe Neverender: Children of the Fence Edition box set also contains a collectible dragonfly.

Good things take time. Originally slated for a March 3 release, the band was determined to provide their fans with the ultimate package and decided to include additional content to the box set. On March 24 fans will see that it was well worth the wait.

NEVERENDER was originally intended to take place in New York and Los Angeles exclusively. The 15,000 tickets for these shows sold out entirely within an astounding three hours of going on sale. When the band saw how fast all 8 shows sold, they decided to extend the tour to include Chicago and London.

"NEVERENDER came about because we wanted to celebrate the end of the Coheed and Cambria saga in a special way," says Coheed frontman Claudio Sanchez. "We wanted to come up with an idea that paid proper respect to this phase of our career, while at the same time gave our fans something truly unique and different. Many of these songs have never been played in front of an audience before so I think we're going to be freaking out at the same time our fans are. It's going to be a major challenge. We're psyched our fans have been so loyal and amazing. We figured they deserved this."

There are only 15,000 limited box sets available worldwide.

the stories going on in claudio's head are freaking intense. they could make a fuckin sick movie with this story that all of their albums are based on. this article seemed pretty biased, but I can assure you that i have an unbiased opinion. I respect their talent, and dig several of their songs, but I'm not a big fan.

ImSetFree, I'm the same way man. Fell in love with their 1st album but I think everything else they have put out is not as strong. They still put out some good tunes, they just need to work on their albums overall.

diet-volta .... rush-light .... call it what you want, they have potential, but they play shit a third of the time... i loved so much from their first disc except the pop-punk songs... why does this band feel the need to play pop-punk mixed in with real music?

four nights with four albums is a cool idea, but was each night only an hour long?

i gotta say i dont get these guys at all. i think the singer has the most annoying voice on the planet.

i'll admit they seem to have a fair amount of talent though

Volta light? well Shabutie (Claudio, michael and travis' first band that turned into C&C) were way more prog sounding then Volta. As you know, Mars volta was formed 6 years later. So you Kids are really implying that Volta is Coheed light.

I heard that song "Favor House Atlantic" at a NYE party my junior year in college. It whipped me into a blind, drunken frenzy that practically destroyed the host's house. Needless to say, I'd like to see these guys live.

They did 3-4 encores each night as well. In NY, as most of you know, Warren came out and jammed 'Welcome Home' with them as well as 'I Shall Be Released.'

Volta is Coheed light? Thanks for the laugh Hotchkiss. That was quite a stretch indeed... Claudio was heavily influenced by At The Drive In, which was around years before Shabutie if i am correct. I do want to hear Shabutie though... I am intrigued

He might indded be influenced by at the drive in, but that had no effect on the prog sound of Shabuties' music or Claudios' high pitch wail.

At the drive formed in 93' and didn't release anything until 94'. Their early stuff, as you know, had a rawer, younger hardcore sound.

I'm not saying that The mars Volta (whom i love, and have been listening to since at the drive in broke up) is in any way like Coheed and Cambria.
